The President of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Leonel Fernández Reyna, officially opened the new facilities at Casa de Camp, that included the expanded main area of the hotel featuring: the “La Cana Restaurant & Lounge by Il Circo» under the supervision of the family Maccioni, owners of New York’s famous, La Cirque restaurant. Alongside President Fernandez at the official ribbon cutting ceremony at the ribbon cutting were: executives of Central Romana Corporation, the parent company to Casa de Campo, Messer’s. Alfy Fanjul, José-Pepe-Fanjul, Eduardo Martinez-Lima, Ramón Menéndez, Secretary of State of Tourism Mr. Francisco Javier Garcia and Mr. Carols Morales Troncoso, Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs. With an investment that surpassed $30 million dollars, the internationally acclaimed resort opened a new main area and transformed half of its hotel room inventory into elite rooms and suites. Dominican designer Patricia Reid created the new luxurious elite rooms and suites with fine details using marble, coralline stone and precious woods. The spacious baths and glass enclosed showers feature a view to the golf course, bathtub, L’Occitaine amenities and walk-in closet with in room safe. Additional room features include, television with LCD Blu-ray, alarm clock with iPod and iPhone ports, high speed wireless internet, mini-bar with coffee/espresso machine and more. The new main area of the resort features an area of pools, fitness center, the Cygalle Healing Spa, stores and Business Center all created under the direction of the architect Rafael Selman and decorator Mayra González. The green and garden areas around the main hotel were also redesigned to create an environment of harmony in concert with the new facilities and tropical ambience of the resort. Investments were also made in the hotel operation that included new modern equipment throughout the main area to guarantee high standards of quality in all areas to resort guests and new office space for employees. PRESIDENTE LEONEL FERNÁNDEZ VISITA LAS REMODELADAS INSTALACIONES DEL RESORT CASA DE CAMPO La Romana. – El Presidente de la Repùblica, doctor Leonel Fernández Reyna, visitò las nuevas y remodeladas instalaciones del resort Casa de Campo que incluyeron la ampliación de su área central y la construcción del nuevo “La Caña Restaurant & Lounge by Il Circo” bajo la supervisión de la familia Maccioni, propietarios del restaurant Le Cirque en Nueva York. El primer mandatario corto la cinta simbòlica acompañado de los principales ejecutivos del Central Romana Corporation, empresa propietaria de Casa de Campo, señores Alfy Fanjul, José-Pepe-Fanjul, Ing. Eduardo Martinez-Lima y Lic. Con una inversión que supera los US$30 millones de dólares, el afamado complejo turístico también ha reformado la mitad del total de sus habitaciones y suites Elite, que fueron diseñadas por la arquitecta Patricia Reid. En las nuevas habitaciones se incorporaron lujosos y finos detalles en mármol, piedra coralina y maderas preciosas.
