This week’s beautiful photo was contributed by Philip Silvestri, who has just discovered the ‘black and white’ setting on his camera and cannot stop playing with it!

Although Philip is still ‘practicing’ with this new setting, I think you will agree that he’s already doing a pretty good job! I love the way Philip has angled the photo so that our eye follows the metal railing into the photo and along the river.

Everyday Altos de Chavón is visited by hundreds of tourists who take the same photo of the view from Altos de Chavón out over the river, the only variable being the face of the sunburnt tourist that appears in it – it’s nice to see a photo of the same topic, but a little different!
