YUMMY! Doesn’t this photo make you want to rush out and go enjoy a delicious lunch at La Caña Restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo in the Casa de Campo hotel?
The Casa de Campo Dominican Republic has many fine dining options, but I must admit that La Caña in the main Casa de Campo hotel area is certainly one of my favorites – and not just because it is very photogenic! I love La Caña for lunch because whether or not you’re on vacation it makes you feel like you are (on vacation), sitting out on the deck, over-looking the pool, you enjoy not only a wonderful view, but also a really laid-back relaxed atmosphere. And did I mention the food? Well no restaurant is GREAT without GREAT food and La Caña, currently being overseen by fantastic new chef Luca Banfi, has wonderful food!
In the above photo you can see Lamb Chops served with barley risotto and porcini mushrooms, which was just as heavenly as it sounds – we devoured it very quickly!
That said, although I passionately do recommend La Caña – TONIGHT (Sunday the 7th of August), I urge you to try somewhere different! There is a new restaurant; MISTRAL, opening in the Marina Casa de Campo and TONIGHT they are hosting an Inauguration celebration from 6pm – DON’T MISS IT!!
