Parties in Casa: Dinner with Mignon!

Casa de Campo Living is a community blog; for the community and all about the community and so we are pleased to start publishing ‘Parties in Casa’ – our photos and tales of the many, many parties, dinner parties and other activities that go on everyday in Casa de Campo! Earlier this month (this article has been slightly delayed!), Mignon Bellini, a dear friend of Casa de Campo Living and the entire Casa de Campo community threw a dinner party in honour of her house guests – Fabio and Fabio who were visiting from Italy. As Fabio and Fabio are both keen polo players Mignon threw the dinner party especially for her ‘polo-playing’ friends as well as (of course) a good number of jolly Italians – giving me the perfect opportunity to practice my Italian…. As we all arrived we were served the drink of our choice (Prosecco for me) in special glasses with flashy coloured lights – which I was fascinated with! The dinner which had been prepared by Mignon herself, was delicious – eggplant lasagna, beetroot mousse, loin of pork and zucchini with porcini mushrooms, which was enjoyed from the sun deck of Mignon’s villa, underneath a beautifully starry sky! For desert Mignon had prepared home-made ice-cream (which she is famous for) and it was to-die-for, so creamy, rich and flavourful! Here are my photos of the evening – not as many as normal, what can I say? I was too busy enjoying the food and trying to speak Italian!

It seems that on this particular evening I didn’t managed to get a nice photo of Mignon with Fabio and Fabio, which is a shame, however they were at the Fundacion MIR Magical Splendor for Life gala – here you can see a photo of them tearing up the dance floor during the After Party by Praia.
