This week’s photo was contributed by Philipo Baez and was taken in the outskirts of Jarabacoa.
Unfortunately Philipo was unable to stop by the restaurant offering up this fascinating delicacy, and so yet again we are left to theorize what exactly is on offer at this road-side eatery.
Literally translated ‘Pollo con Viagra’ means chicken with Viagra. This can only mean one of two things:
1. The chicken has been injected with Viagra, before, after or at some point during the cooking process. But why? I have a few ideas:
- for women to trick their man into taking Viagra – the man’s pride isn’t damaged and everyone gets a happy ending! (unless of course, said man is a bit of a glutton and eats too much, then this plan could backfire! literally!)
- Viagra is incredibly foul tasting and slipping your required dose into a nice bit of juicy pollo frito is the perfect way to disguise the taste.
- men use it to trick unsuspecting (and unwilling) ladies into taking Viagra and thus enabling them to satisfy their needs.
2. The chicken is injected with Viagra while still living, thus enabling said chicken to live a ‘fruitful’ and ‘fulfilling’ life and therefore may taste better?
We do not recommend that you try this delicacy, whether in the safety of your own home or at this dubious dinner, Viagra should be used with caution and prescribed by a medical professional.
