This week at the Casa de Campo cinema we have  only 1 new movie; Tropico de Sangre, also still playing is The Karate Kid, The Sorcerers Aprentice and Despicable Me.  Tropico de Sangre looks excellent and a must-see for every Dominican and anyone living in the Dominican Republic as it tells the true story of the Mirabel sisters and their fight against the dictator Trujillo.

    The film focuses on Minerva Mirabal and tells the true story of how she and her sisters came to represent the greatest threat to dictator Rafael Trujillo and his regime. The Mirabal sisters were in involed in an underground movement against the government.
