La Romana, Dominican Republic (March 2, 2009, 2009) – The DJ who has opened top clubs in Miami for years, including properties owned by Gloria & Emilio Estefan – most recently their new Vero Beach property and private parties there, is flying to the DR in next weekend to rock the AfterParty for MIR following the Gala Fashion Show event Saturday, March 14th.
“Its high season in Miami now too with parties nightly from South Beach through Palm Beach,” said Sarli. “But the work MIR does for the kids here in the DR is really important and I like to do what I can to help them.. help these kids – and we will rock the Palapa at the Marina Saturday night!”
Its obvious Sarli enjoys his craft of mixing music and comes by these skills naturally, as he himself is a “mix” of sorts. Raised in South Florida, Sarli is a mix of Cuban, Italian and French descent and enjoys all kinds of music. His ability to artfully blend tunes of yesterday with newer, trendy rhythms of today drives his popularity. In addition to working very high profile private events, his work at South Florida clubs has included The Mutiny, The Criquet Club, Stefano’s of Key Biscayne, Bongo’s Cuban Café as well as a special guest of Billboard Live, Crobar & Iguana’s. In addition to the club scene, Sarli applies his mixing / production skills to individuals and groups such as Gloria & Emilio Estefan, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Donna Summer, Olga Tanon, the late Celia Cruz, Frankie Ruiz, Los Dementes, Fernandito Villalona, Eddy Herrera, Jerry Rivera, Rey Ruiz and many more.
The MIR AfterParty will take place Saturday, March 14th at The Palapa (Marina Casa de Campo) and is scheduled to begin at 11 PM. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased in advance through the MIR office or at the door. For information contact: 809-523-3817.
