It is with great pleasure that we announce to you our new ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ – Giorga Merli who was crowned during our ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ beauty pageant, on Sunday evening the 26th of December in Altos de Chavón. We began our search for the first ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ just under 2 weeks ago – at the Bazaar Navideño, when 12 excited, beautiful and perfectly poised little girls from our Casa de Campo community auditioned to take part in the contest! At the auditions each girl was photographed and then these photos were used to help our Casa de Campo Living community  vote as to who they wanted to be crowned ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living.’  To see the girls audition photos and the voting process, click here. Following nearly 500 votes from our Casa de Campo Living community we held the ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ beauty pageant on the temporary stage outside the church in Altos de Chavón, on Sunday evening the 26th of December.

The girls waiting nervously for the show to start!

The show was ran by your favourite Casa de Campo hostess (ME!)and was a simple (and rather amusing) ceremony  – in which I invited each girl onto the stage one by one to answer a few of my tough ‘beauty pageant’ questions – name, age, what do you do in your spare time and of course «If you had one wish what would it be?» World Peace? Actually all of the girls came up with something a little more imaginative than World Peace; ‘I wish to be a model,’ ‘I wish to see my dad,’ ‘I wish everyone in the world happiness,’ ‘I wish it would be Christmas everyday,’ ‘I wish all the children in the world would have presents!’ Very Cute! Following their gruelling questioning the girls each did a mini ‘desfile’ by strutting around the stage for our audience – one girl (Noor) even thrilled the audience with some spontaneous acrobatics!

At the end of the pageant, with all the girls on stage, looking a little frightened, but generally hopeful I announced Giorga as the winner and had to give up my crown!

Your beautiful hostess (moi) and our ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ hopefuls!

Giorga, our new ‘Little Miss Casa de Campo Living’ won a spa day from the Cygalle Healing Spa, the special package called ‘I’m a Diva’ is designed especially for little girls and includes a manicure and pedicure, face mask, mini massage and cookies and juice in the garden! During her Spa adventure treat Giorga will also do some modelling – to help us promote this new package for the Cygalle Healing Spa!

Sadly the lighting on the stage made it very difficult for my photographer to get good photos – so these are the best I have:
