La Estancia’s 5th anniversary: A fun family day!

On Sunday the 1st of May, La Estancia celebrated it’s 5th anniversary with a fun day of activities for all the family ending with a big celebration party and dinner at their club house. Here are my photos of the event – better late than never, I apologize I had ‘lost’ them! The day started bright and early at 7am with breakfast on the terrace overlooking La Estancia’s beautiful golf course, when the golf tournaments competitors prepared themselves for the tournament ahead, which began with a shot gun tee off at 8.30am. And so under threatening skies (which fortunately only produced a short shower of rain), the golfers enjoyed a pleasant if somewhat slow paced game. Whilst at 11am a bike marathon around the resort’s ample countryside took place, with adult and children competitors alike – some happy to enjoy the beautiful (ish) day and the gorgeous scenary whilst others took the contest much more seriously – flying by in a race to get to the finish line first and win a trophy! After the morning’s activities the families were able to enjoy a horse show and juegos inflable (bouncy castles) and La Estancia’s ‘La Palapa’, which is a beautiful area with a bar and lounge which has one of the best views of the resort. Following the tournament the golfers enjoyed a lunch at La Estancia’s club house and later a big party, prize giving and lots of dancing! Here are my photos from the day: (sorry they are late!)
