This Saturday the 8th March, ESCADA will be presenting her new SPRING/SUMMER collection in an exclusive fashion show being held in La Palapa, in the Marina at Casa de Campo. The fashion show is the headlining event of the Magical Splendor for Life weekend, hosted by the MIR foundation. This spectacular and eagerly anticipated show, presented by TIFFANY & CO will begin at 8.30pm.
During the fashion show, guests will be thrilled to see a collection inspired by the varied cultures of Africa and Asia, with rich, bold patterns, colors, prints and jewelry adapted to suit ESCADA’s strong personal style. This season’s silhouette is lean and sharp with long skirts, skinny pants and 50’s jackets inspired by the great style-icons Grace Kelly and Ava Gardener, in the movie Mogambo. Expect also to see dresses in signature prints or asymmetrically draped, a look heralded to be this season’s staple, and a must-have for any woman wanting to be fashionably dressed in Casa de Campo. The ‘hot’ colors for this season are vibrant and intense – salmon, purple-orchid and lagoon, which when combined with ESCADA’s luxuriously embroidered and exquisitely sculptured designs, you can be sure to find the perfect outfit to be seen in!!
The Escada Boutique has already opened in the Yacht Club in the Marina and will stay open until the 15th March. The presence of this high-end boutique affords you the perfect opportunity to indulge in some guilt-free shopping – you’re going to need a luxurious and elegant new gown for the fashion show and the children supported by the MIR foundation need your help!!!
Damiano Biella, Creative Director of ESCADA, oversees all design elements of the luxury brand ESCADA. Daniel Wingate, one of the senior designers, is expected to attend the MIR event.
Following the fashion show, we are excited to announce that the internationally acclaimed DJ Carlos Sarli, from Miami will be playing at La Palapa for the After Party.
Tickets can be purchased at the Casa de Campo front desk and at the MIR offices, with donation levels as follows:
- VIP table for 10 next to the catwalk: US$7,500
- VIP Seating: US$1,000
- Center Seating: US$500
- Standard Seating: US$300
- Tickets for the After Party: US$50
It has often been said that it is impossible to be overdressed in the DR and nowhere is this more true than in Casa de Campo, to ensure you stay fashionably dressed this spring/summer – attendance of this fabulous event is mandatory!!
