On Thursday the 8th of September the Altos de Chavon Cultural Center Foundation celebrated the inauguration of their new art exhibit ‘Miradas Escrutadoras.’The exhibiting artist, Moisés Castillo, was present at the inauguration event, proudly showing off his artistic creations, chatting to the vistors and explaining his thoughts and feelings behind each painting. The exhibit is a collection of 20 oil paintings, all abstract paintings of faces or rather ‘looks’ as the exhibit is called “MIRADAS ESCRUTADORAS” which in English means “SCRUTINIZING LOOKS.” As always an interesting and varied crowd gathered to see the new exhibit and enjoy the inauguration cocktails, residents and villa owners of Casa de Campo mingled with the students of the Altos de Chavón Art and Design school and a group of teachers from the Abraham Lincoln School. The following photos were sent to us by Martha, from the Altos de Chavon art gallery – thanks Martha!
