What else is there to tell you, other than the obvious – this is the first time I tried to capture one of the many amazing sunsets that you can experience at Casa de Campo. The only thing better are the millions of stars that begin to shine shortly after.

They come and they go.
This last weekend was uber strange, but in a good way… I guess. While it was a particularly ugly weekend, because of a huge thunderstorm over the Bahamas, I can not deny having an amazing time… if not somewhat surreal. Naturally, I blame the tequila… but in the end it was indeed an experience. It […]
Great Vacation Guaranteed!
Ok, well at Casa de Campo that’s a pretty much a given, weather permitting. So as we are heading into the nasty old hurricane season, there is one thing that every traveler should know… Casa de Campo has a 105% hurricane Guarantee! This type of feature is so unique in fact, that it was recently […]
Kelly Who? No sir, that’s Kelly Hu.
So this weekend had a few rather nice unexpected surprise, the highlight of which was the rather pleasant meeting of Kelly Hu and her boyfriend Mitch Allen who where here for a special evening to raise awareness of the organization Reef Check. The event was held at the Casa de Campo Marina Yacht Club, and […]
Its time for a Fiesta!
That’s right, its party time! Ok, while mainly catering to the tourists (aka: hotel guests), these little festivals are always a great time. Did I mention that this place has a website?
That’s right boys and girls, Casa de Campo is not considered the Caribbean’s most complete resort for no reason. It has a little of everything, and yes that does include a website. So if you are tiered of hearing me yammer on and on, just check out the website for yourselves. http://www.casadecampo.com.do
Welcome to Casa de Campo!
So you’ve landed at the La Romana International airport, breezed through customs, and taken the ten minute ride (seriously – only ten minutes, if that) from the airport. What is the first thing you encounter? Why not see for yourself? Welcome to paradise. NOTE: The sky only looks dark because the top of my windshield […]
Vista de La Marina
A few days back I mentioned the progress that was being made in Casa de Campo’s newest neighborhood Vista de La Marina; well as promised, here are some *updated* photos as of today, or made yesterday. Either which way, more recent.
Hello, where have I been all this time?
I’ve been accused of being a little (cough cough) absent minded from time to time, but last weekend I’m driving by and I find myself being asked “Where is Costamar?” My response was simple. I have not clue. Then I notice this sign and realize that apparently I have not had a clue for quite […]
