The Casa de Campo Yacht Club (CCYC) has been busy over the last couple of months, preparing in eager anticipation of not only the upcoming Rolex Farr40 Regata, but also extending its relationships with yacht clubs world wide. Last week, they proudly announced the addition of yet another reciprocal agreement, with the Royal British Virgin Islands Yacht Club (RBVIYC) (www.rbviyc.net).
The agreement was reached by CCYC’s Commodore Gianfranco Fini and RBVIYC’s Commodore Simon Wood and is welcome news to all members of the Casa de Campo Yacht Club, coming only a couple months after having reached another reciprocal agreement with the St. Maarten Yacht Club (www.smyc.com).
We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our Caribbean Yacht Club neighbors and invite you to come and visit us soon! We know you’ll love it here… heck, you might end up loving it so much, you might want to look into one of the lovely apartments or villas available.
With the ongoing efforts, we have seen an increasing reach and influence of the Marina Casa de Campo. It is clear that CCYC’s Commodore Gianfranco Fini will not be satisfied until the Casa de Campo Yacht Club far outranks every other marina Yacht Club in the Dominican Republic. So far so good. Its incredible to imagine that only 10 years ago, the only thing at the mouth of the Chavon river was a fishing village…. and today, we have what many agree is one of the Dominican Republic’s most prestigious marina’s.
