The Café de la Leche is a monthly charity event, normally held in a Casa de Campo villa and hosted by a generous member of the Casa de Campo community. However, this month’s event is being hosted by the Cygalle Healing Spa at the the Casa de Campo hotel! The event starts at 5pm ands will be held in the Cygalle Healing Spa’s Zen garden, a beautiful, tranquil and spiritual garden with stone labyrinth and shady seating areas-the perfect stage for a blissful afternoon of pampering, indulging and chatting!
This month’s event will also see the launch of the brand new Hogar del Nino website (www.hogardelnino.com), which has been lovingly developed and donated by Silgon inc, the people responsible for the stunning new Casa de Campo website (www.casadecampo.com.do) and everyone’s favourite website – Casa de Campo Living!

The Cygalle Healing Spa are planning to make this month’s Cafe de la Leche extra special by offering a number of delightful spa freebies! Pilar Rosario, the Spa manager who is organizing the event told me to expect free mini-massages for weary hands, necks and shoulders, as well as a giveaway with prizes of gift certificates for facials, massages, products and body treatments! So make sure you arrive early with a bumper donation of dried milk – this Café de la Leche promises to be extra special and potentially very relaxing!
Aside from all the wonderful Spa freebies on offer, Pilar is planning the food from the recommended healthy recipes of Jacqueline Banks, Cygalle Healing Spa’s Holistic Health counselor, so not only will the food be delicious, but we will be able to indulge guilt free – hoorah! There will also be an Aqua bar and a fresh juice bar serving freshly squeezed fruit juices with combinations including apple, carrot, cucumber, coconut, pineapple, spinach, energizing elixir, lime, papaya and ginger and many more!
The purpose of the Café de la Leche is to collect milks, cereals and formulas for the children at the crib room of the “Hogar del Niño”. There are more than 200 children from newborn to two years in the Crib Room at Hogar and nowadays the Café de la Leche contributes with 40% of the consumption of their milk, this is more than 300 bottles of milk daily, thanks to all the people that participate every month in this activity!
