On Saturday the 14th of May, Altos de Chavón and Casa de Campo Living hosted the ‘Bazaar Primavera’ a bustling street fair and market, made possible by our sponsors; Jugos Rica, ScotiaBank, Jaguar, Casino Diamante Dominucs Bayahibe and Plaza Lama. (Articulo sobre el Bazaar Primavera en Español debajo.)
In this article, I would especially like to thank Jaguar with Grupo Viamar for their participation in the event, this is the first time we have had Grupo Viamar as a sponsor of any of our Casa de Campo Living events, so we hope we can look forward to seeing them at future events – perhaps at our upcoming ‘HOEDOWN 2011’, the Fiesta Americana on saturday the 2nd of July?
Not only did Jaguar help make this event possible as a sponsor, but also with their car display of 2 gorgeous Jaguars and test drives, they added a little extra something for the men of Casa de Campo – a real bonus for an event which is a woman’s shopping haven with all the jewelry, bathing suits and clothes!
Did you know? When Duran Duran were here in Casa de Campo last month they drove around in a convoy of Jaguars – the best of British for our best British band!

On display were a white Jaguar XF 3.0 Luxury 2011, which starts at US$69,500, as well as a Jaguar XJ Supersport 2011, here you can see photos and read a little more about these beautiful British cars:
Jaguar XJThe Jaguar XJ is a full-size luxury saloon and the company’s flagship model. There has been an XJ in production since 1968 with the first generation being the last Jaguar car to have creative input by the company’s founder, Sir William Lyons. In early 2003, the third generation XJ arrived in showrooms and while the car’s exterior and interior styling were traditional in appearance, the car was completely re-engineered. Its styling attracted much criticism from many motoring journalists who claimed that the car looked old-fashioned and barely more modern than its predecessor, many even citing that the ‘Lyons line’ had been lost in the translation from Mark 2 into Mark 3 XJ, even though beneath the shell lied a highly advanced aluminium construction that put the XJ to very near the top of its class.[31] Source: wikipedia.org
Jaguar XFAs well as the cars, Jaguar also hosted a ‘brindis’ or champagne lounge rather, where many at the Bazaar relaxed before or after their shopping with a nice class of champagne! Lovely! Here are a few photos of Jaguar at the Bazaar Primavera:The Jaguar XF (type (X250) is a mid-size luxury car / sports saloon produced by British car manufacturer Jaguar Cars. The car, which replaced theJaguar S-Type, was launched at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show[1][2] following the public showing of the C-XF concept in January 2007 at the North American International Auto Show. Designed by Jaguar’s design director Ian Callum,[3] it was a significant change to its predecessor. The XF went on sale in 2008 with a range of V6 and V8 engines[4] and customer deliveries commenced in March 2008.[5] A face-lifted XF featuring a revised front design more akin to the original C-XF concept car was announced at the 2011 New York Auto Show with manufacturing to commence from July 2011.[6] Source: wikipedia.org
