Over the weekend, in between drinks with the ladies at the monthly Cafe de La Leche, wild Salsa dancing at Rio Marina and beer guzzling whilst watching the SuperBowl, we caught wind of yet another Casa de Campo Rumor – Eros Ramazzotti MAY be coming to perform in the Altos de Chavon amphitheater.

A group of Abraham Lincoln pupils compete in the Maths Olympics!

This week a group of mathematically talented Abraham Lincoln pupils ventured out of school and into the wilderness of La Romana to take part in the first round of the Mathematics Olympics competition (las Olimpiadas Matematicas) which took place in the ‘Escuela Mercedes Laura Aguiar.’

The Walkabout Foundation in Haiti – donating wheel chairs

Just under a year ago, part-time Casa de Campo residents Luis Gonzalez-Bunster and his sister Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster founded the Walkabout Foundation, to promote awareness of paralysis and disabilities and fund research for spinal cord injuries.On January 18, 2009, 6 days after the devastating earthquake hit Haiti, The Walkabout Foundation travelled to Port-au-Prince.
