The Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design school year came to a successful close last week and was celebrated with Estilo 2011 – a fantastic fashion show, the graduation ceremony at the Casa de Campo hotel, as well as a magnificent exhibit of the students work in the Altos de Chavon art gallery. ‘Estilo 2011: The Silk Road’ took place on Friday May the 27th at the Casa de Campo Hotel conference center and was presented by the 20 graduating fashion design students of the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design and was sensational! The excellent quality and variety exhibited is a testament to the outstanding talent of the students (who have no graduated), but also to the exceptional teaching and quality of education provided at the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design. Here are my photos of the ‘End of Year’ exhibit: Unfortunately, this exhibit is no longer at the Altos de Chavon Art Gallery, but it is on display NOW at the Casa de Chavón in Santo Domingo: Gustavo Mejia Ricart #50, Tel 809-563-2802. On my wander around the art exhibit, I took these photos of a few spectators: [nggallery id=875]
