This last weekend was uber strange, but in a good way… I guess. While it was a particularly ugly weekend, because of a huge thunderstorm over the Bahamas, I can not deny having an amazing time… if not somewhat surreal. Naturally, I blame the tequila… but in the end it was indeed an experience.
It was also a somewhat sad weekend, as two good friends left for home. You must understand that the great thing about living in Casa de Campo is all the great people you get to meet and spend time with, while the bad thing, is that after a while they eventually go home… and if you oversleep you might just miss the chance to say goodbye – or rather, see you soon. Miss you guys already!
So here I sit today in my office, the day racing to an end, reminiscing about the last couple of days. A mini-emotional roller-coaster it has been, but fun nonetheless. So tonight I will go home and hit the sack early, as right now I have no out-of-towners to bug.
Or maybe I will look simply enjoy a quite night with a nice scotch and a stary sky – what can I say, I’m a sucker for that sort of thing, and the skies here do lend themselves rather nicely to that sort of thing.
