“Education has become our main goal because we hope to create individuals that will become inspired leaders in their families, communities and country. Making an investment in the youth of our nation benefits everyone. It is only because of your generosity that so many are able to participate in this educational experience.”

—- Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, President and Founder of the Fundación MIR

The Fundación MIR was founded in 1988 by Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, when Lian’s brother Alfy Fanjul won the “Sugar Golf Tournament” and donated his winnings to his sister, which she used as seed money to found the “Casa de Paz”, which has now grown into the Fundación MIR.
