You might be wondering what has happened with this month’s Café de la Leche, no it has not been canceled it was just moved a bit further into the month 🙂 Next week, on Thursday, June 21st the new mixology bar in La Marina, Barlovento 8 will be hosting the 6th Café de la Leche of the year and invites everyone to come over and not miss out on the fun!

Last month Idarmis Cucurullo de Velázquez and Lauren Llenas de Sánchez hosted a wonderful “Mexican Chic Soirée”, making it the perfect start to the weekend. Everybody donned their Mexican inspired outfits and celebrated “Cinco de Mayo” with margaritas en tacos. It was so much fun to dress up and party until late! Next week we are invited to enjoy some very delicious cocktails prepared by our hosts at Barlovento 8. It is the new “it” mixology bar at La Marina, and if you haven’t visited them yet its the perfect time to do so and get hooked! They have an excellent daily special where you buy one drink and get 2 from 6 pm – 9 pm.

As in the past, the Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO) – Hogar del Niño asks that you bring 1,800 grams of Milex Kinder, Gold, NAN, Enfamil, Alacta Plus, Nido Crecimiento or RD $1,200 to help feed the more than 200 babies in their Crib Room. Donations from Café de la Leche events supply more than 80% of the milk used in the Crib Room each month. We’re looking forward to seeing you all there for a fun afternoon at this month’s Café de la Leche! As always, men are welcome too so don’t leave them at home!
