It is a common misconception that the casa de campo yacht club is all about yachts! The Casa de Campo yacht Club is actually more akin to a social club and is currently taking steps to become the go-to place for Casa de Campo residents wanting to relax in a chilled atmosphere.
Gianfranco Fini, commodore of the Casa de Campo Yacht Club along with club secretary Rafid Yniro, have been working since before Christmas, to make the Yacht club a fun (and inexpensive) place to hang out with friends
So what does the Yacht Club have to offer (other than a nice club house with a fantastic view)?
1. Cheap (or at least reasonably priced) food and drink.
Sandwiches (tuna, ham & cheese, focaccia with ham or parmesan cheese and mini slices of pizza) are only RD$45. Drinks are pretty cheap too with Presidente beers from only RD$60 and glasses of house wine from RD$180. And if you fancy something a little substancial you can order food from Limonecello, which can then be eaten at the Yacht Club.
2. Games!
Now that the Casa de Campo Yacht Club has it’s own collection of board games, a poker set and a pool table, it’s the perfect place to hang out and play! The games on offer are: pool, chess, backgammon, poker, UNO and card games.
Members are welcome to organise their own poker tornaments – just give the Casa de Campo Yacht Club 3 days notice so they can be ready for you!
3. Events and activities!
The Casa de Campo Yacht Club is periodically organising different events and activities for its members.
Current upcoming events are: • ABC WINE Experience 1 When: Friday 11th, 18th and 25th of March, 6pm-8:30pm Price: USD$95 per person (Casa de Campo Yacht Club members are entitled to a 5% discount) • Spirit Experience 1 When: Friday 15th of April, 6pm-8:30pm Price: USD$60 per person (Casa de Campo Yacht Club members are entitled to a 5% discount) • Spirit Experience 2 When: Friday 29th of April, 6pm-8:30pm Price: USD$75 per person (Casa de Campo Yacht Club members are entitled to a 5% discount
The Casa de Campo Yacht Club is for the exclusive use of members only, however non-members may visit the club as the guest of a member.
