Last night the 20th of April the Marina Casa de Campo came alive with beautiful Dominican music, dancing, and laughter, all washed down with plenty of Dominican rum, aqua de coco and lots of classic Dominican food!
Casa de Campo Living organised the Noche Dominicana for the Marina Casa de Campo to celebrate the start of the Rolex Farr 40 regatta – which started this morning!
In this post I bring you a select few photos and juicy details – but remember this is only a preview many more photos and interesting tales of the night will follow….
Here are the highlights:
There was dancing to the beats of a Perico Ripao and latin music DJ….

There were some inspired costumes! The costume contest was sponsored by the Cygalle Healing Spa and Lokekeda consignment store in La Romana – the results of the costume contest will be announced soon!

There were Dominican food, drinks, including the delicious Ron Atlantico and there were even freshly hand-rolled cigars being given out from Casa Montecristo.

There were the Kandela Dancers (and me) treating the streets of the Marina like one giant dancefloor….

And there was MISS MUNDO DOMINICANO – the first runner-up in the MISS WORLD competition, meeting, greeting and having her photo taken with all the guests (more lady was practically mobbed for photos!!)

And many many other exciting things….I will publish a full article on everything very soon, including the results of the costume contest, more photos of the gorgeous Miss Mundo Dominicano, and photos of everyone having a wonderful time!
THANK YOU to everyone who came and participated and made this event the HUGE success it was!
And a very special thank you to all the Marina Casa de Campo shops and businesses especially Bleu Marine, Rubiluna, Bewitched and Dedon – without your co-operation we would not have been able to make this event a success!
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW IF YOU HAD A GOOD TIME!!!
