The Papa Jack’s Kids Halloween Party on Saturday the 31st of October was great fun – over 60 kids attended along with a lot of their parents!
Costumes included; pretty princesses, Disney characters, a ninja, soldiers, scary skeletons, witches and monsters, pirates, superheroes, an Egyptian goddess, power rangers, punk party girls and many more. Part of the afternoon’s fun was a costume competition, the results of which are as follows:
- ‘Best costume’ went to Patricia Proaño’s daughter, Valeria for a fabulous «Raggedy Anne» doll complete with red yarn hair and striped stockings.
- Scariest costume prize went to five year old, Mariangelica Rosario Torres, for a horrifying headless man with a baby coming from his stomach!
number of his friends, for the Papa Jack’s late night party with cobwebs, blood, chains, skeleton lights, rats and bats all lit with black light, green lasers and smoke filled black cave-like rooms. For the kid’s tour, scary music with eerie noises, chilling screams and thunder filled the air and a special surprise was in store when a guest host – «Scary Monster» himself Ed Loseman in black cape and «Scream» mask – crept out of the darkness, to the horror of the little ones and kept them screaming for more. Even a few of the adults got a chilling surprise. Needless to say most of the kids had a go a few more times, and even after the monster had retired for the night there were many requests for him to come back.
Following the Haunted House the upstairs turned into a dance party for the kids including tunes from Michael Jackson’s «Thriller», Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and lots of the Jonas Brothers.
Included in the cover charge, each child received a «trick or treat» bag with an assortment of candies. To end the party, all the spare candies were put in a piñata – great fun for the kids as they madly scrambled to collect as much extra candy as they could!
There were lots of requests to do this again next year – so maybe Papa Jack’s will look at making it an annual event.
Thanks to all who attended and helped to make the party a success.
