On Thursday the 8th of October, the battle started. It was the Lincoln Lions against the Saint-John Tigers, the duel started at 5:00pm and lasted for around one hour and a half. The Lincoln Lions gave their all and ended up with five goals leaving the tigers with only one goal.

The MOST outstanding Lions were: the two brothers Javi and Curin Elmudesi, who both scored one goal each and Blenin Azcona, who scored with an amazing header, and most impressive of all; Angel Mazara who scored nothing less than two goals with double the power, for the Lincoln Lions.

With cheers such as «blue and white, dynamite,» and their unique style and routines, including cartwheels and other aerobic stunts, they drove the crowd crazy! All dressed in matching black shorts and white T-shirts the girls performed an engaging, perfectly synchronized and most importantly motivating cheer which no doubt spurred the Lincoln Lions to victory!

The team has been in training since the beginning of September under the experienced guidance of teachers Mr Stewart, Mr Cafferkey and Mr Adams, who clearly did a great job – it seemed like the St John’s team never stood a chance!

And who are the fine young men which make up the thus-far unbeaten Lincoln Lions? Carlos ElmudesiDSC02388 Angel Mazara Luis Suarez Blenin Azcona Ramon Tilanus Justin Black Pablo Ramirez Manuel Rodriguez Edgardo Lala Edward Guerrero Jacopo Avanzini
