raysa fanjulFrom the 4th to the 7th of April, the MIR Bazaar was open at the La Romana Country Club as part of the 28th annual Sugar Golf Tournament and the activity raised more than US$10,000 dollars for the Fundación MIR charity which runs 3 schools with more than 1500 students in La Romana.

With the participation of more vendors than ever before, as well as the sponsorship of Silgon Inc., Marketing, Web Development & Publishing Services who helped with the marketing of the event, the MIR Bazaar was a huge success and was literally flooded with Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and visitors who shopped, shopped, shopped!

Incredibly a total of US$84,457.73 sales were made over the 4 days – which is a staggering $35,028.73 MORE than the amount sold in 2012 – EXCELLENT news for the Fundación MIR who receives a 15% of sales! Congratulations to all the vendors and a BIG thank you to all our big spenders, we really appreciate your support!

mariela sabinoAmidst all the shopping, the ladies also enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch, and a fashion show! Taking part in the fashion show were many beautiful models of the Casa de Campo community; little boys and girls who modelled children’s clothing created by Dominican desginer Julissa Peralta and gorgeous teenagers and even some glamorous ladies who strutted their stuff in elegant designs available from Rubiluna in the Marina Casa de Campo.

Congratulations to Julissa Peralta and Gabriella Roncari of Rubiluna for putting together an excellent show!
