Mu\u00f1oz"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last Thursday, June 13th, the Altos de Chav\u00f3n Gallery opened another marvelous exhibition by Chavonero Luis A. Mu\u00f1oz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-170856 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC0052.png?resize=1000%2C752&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"752\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abSeveral years ago I started an investigation about primitive art, especially from Africa and the Caribbean and I was able to delve into artistic expressions as original and autochthonous as the petroglyphs or rock art of these regions that motivated me to create a bridge between two worlds and two different times, \u00absaid the artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his work \u00abPaths of the Caribbean\u00bb his fundamental objective is to create an art form that is capable of transmitting the force of nature, sensitizing the viewer with respect to the value and preservation of the environment, dealing with social problems such as emigration, pollution environmental, deforestation, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-170854 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC0052.jpg?resize=800%2C531&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition consists of 30 works including paintings, tiles and sculptures using mixed techniques, extra pictorial or recycled materials and clay as an ancestral element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition will remain open until July 15, from Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. at 9:00 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 8:00 p.m. at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n<p>[nggallery id=3237]<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>About the artist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born in Bah\u00eda de Manzanillo. In 1983 he studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Santiago, Dominican Republic. For 1988, he continued his advanced studies in Illustration and Fine Arts at Chav\u00f3n School of Design, graduating with honors and in 1990 he continued his studies studies, obtaining the title of Graphic Design and Advertising Art in Chav\u00f3n The School of Design.<\/p>\n<p>In 1993 he obtained a scholarship from the Organization of American States (OAS) to study \u00abPre-Columbian Ceramics and Restoration of Archaeological Pieces\u00bb in Panama City, then in 1996 he conducted a workshop on \u00abHow to paint with low-cost materials and easy access \u00ab, in the School of Design of Altos de Chav\u00f3n.
