Now that \u201cTropical Depression 14\u201d has moved closer to the Dominican Republic, we can see that Casa de Camp lies within the \u201cCone of Probability\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>No my friends this is still not good news \u2013 but don\u2019t panic it is not terrible either. In summary, yes the Dominican Republic lies within the \u201cCone of Probability\u201d&nbsp;\u2013 but given that Casa de Campo La Romana is right on the edge of this cone, it is unlikely (but possible) that once developed Hurricane Maria will directly impact our beautiful south coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tropical Depression 14 &nbsp;\u2013 The moving at a speed at 20kph in a West-North-West direction<\/li>\n<li>TD 14 currently has winds of 35mph (56kph)<\/li>\n<li>TD 14 is predicted to become Tropical Storm Maria in the next few hours \u2013 by this afternoon<\/li>\n<li>Current predictions say TD14 will develop into a Hurricane category 1 by Monday (when she will probably by ABOVE the Dominican Republic)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tropical Storm Maria \u2013 Where is she going?<br>\n<a Tropical Cyclone system will cross over the Leeward Islands as Tropical Storm Maria<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: normal;\">After crossing over the Leeward Island it is MOST likely that \u201cTropical Storm Maria\u201d will head North and move ABOVE Puerto Rico and then ABOVE the Dominican Republic and Casa de Campo<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><strong>Dominican Republic in the \u201ccone of probability\u201d \u2013 what does that mean?<\/strong><\/strong><\/div><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-admin\/wunderground.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Image from: style=\"font-weight: normal;\">The fact that the Dominican Republic lies within the&nbsp;<\/span><\/span>\u201ccone of probability\u201d for \u201churricane Maria\u201d means that it is possible (although less likely) that the storm centre could pass over the DR.<\/li>\n<li>But beware the \u201ccone of probability\u201d is not 100% accurate \u2013 in fact the&nbsp;\u201ccone of probability\u201d is only 60-70% accurate, meaning that over a 5 day forecast there is a 30-40% chance that the centre of a storm will stray outside the predicted \u201ccone\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The GOOD news!<br>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stormpulse.com\/\"
