Now <strong>\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d<\/strong> is on the move around the Dominican Republic and has already been well received in Bavaro, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo and has currently taken up temporary residence in Papa Jacks, until next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d<\/strong> menu is very simple, consisting of 4 \u2018formules\u2019 (set menus), which basically include a green salad and a main dish of beef fillet (entrecote), fish, moules (mussels) and langostines all served with french fries, yuca or veggies. Also available are a variety of French speciality dishes for starters and desert, such as escargot (snails), profiteroles and crepes.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon9.jpg?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon9.jpg?resize=565%2C293&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32414\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" height=\"293\" width=\"565\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d&nbsp;menu currently available in Papa Jacks, Altos de Chav\u00f3n Casa de Campo<br>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving-wp.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2011\/08\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon7.jpg\"><br>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casa de Campo Living were recently invited to do a review of <strong>\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;in Papa Jacks, so here are our photos, thoughts and opinions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32347\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon.jpg?resize=450%2C287&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"287\"><\/figure><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Green Salad with Walnuts and French Vinaigrette&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon.jpg\"><br>\n<\/a>A simple green salad with a deliciously tangy vinaigrette and a generous sprinkling of walnuts for added texture and flavor, served with every \u2018formule\u2019 as an accompaniment or starter to the main dish.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Escargots a la Bouguignonne (US$7)<\/strong><\/p><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32348\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon1.jpg?resize=450%2C258&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"258\"><\/figure><p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon1.jpg?ssl=1\"> <\/a>Given the nature of this dish, it caused quiet a stir at our table. I am unashamedly and typically British about what I will and what I will not eat \u2013 which put mildly means I have a \u2018timid\u2019 palet, otherwise interpreted as \u201ccompletely terrified of trying anything new, different or slimy.\u201d To cut a long story short, although I was a little tempted and curious, I was unable to bring myself to eat an actual snail \u2013 but I was brave enough to try the sauce dipped in bread and that was delicious! Fortunately for you, Philip and my friend Caroline both were brave enough and here\u2019s what they had to say:<br>\nPhilip Silvestri: \u201cBest snails in Casa de Campo, I\u2019m not exactly a snail connaisseur, but I will definitely be coming back.\u201d<br>\nCaroline Healy (a snail virgin): \u201cCreamy, buttery and garlicky \u2013 they have a texture like mushrooms\u201d &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon1.jpg\"><br>\n<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Grilled Langostinos Flambee in Anisette<\/strong><\/p><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32349\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon2.jpg?resize=450%2C259&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"259\"><\/figure><p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon2.jpg?ssl=1\"> <\/a>As it turned out, the \u2018anisette\u2019 was essentially a delicious mild curry sauce, which we described as \u201ca little sweet, a little tangy with a lot of flavor.\u201d In fact the langostinos, which very definitely fall into the \u2018scary food\u2019 category as far as I\u2019m concerned, were good enough that I ate not 1, but 3 \u2013 and I was very proud of myself for my bravery!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Steamed Moules in White Wine Sauce<\/strong><\/p><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon3.jpg?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32350\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon3.jpg?resize=450%2C310&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"310\"><\/a><\/figure><p>Unfortunately, I was not brave enough to try the moules, I know I should be ashamed of myself, but nevertheless Philip absolutely loved them! In between slurpy mouthfuls, Philip declared \u201cDelicious! Creamy sauce steamed in white wine, shallots parsley and cream, deliciously fused together to make a nice hearty dish.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The famous&nbsp;\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d<\/strong><\/p><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32351\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon4.jpg?resize=450%2C220&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"220\"><\/figure><p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon4.jpg?ssl=1\"> <\/a>Having tried, sort-off tried and wimped out of trying the \u2018scary\u2019 food, I was thrilled to have the \u2018entrecote\u2019 placed before me! With a tangy and powerful bernaise-inspired secret sauce, the<em> entrecote<\/em>, cooked in a very French way, will surely hit the spot should your need for a little taste of France be bubbling to the surface. The french fries are spot on \u2013 crispy and, well crispy. Not much more to ask for with fries. TIP: You may want to ask for the sauce on the side \u2013 the entrecote was so tender and tasty, but I personally felt it got a little lost in the sauce.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Profiteroles<\/strong><\/p><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32352\" title=\"l'entrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon5.jpg?resize=450%2C206&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"206\"><\/figure><p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lentrecote_de_paris_casa_de_campo_papa_jacks_altos_de_chavon5.jpg?ssl=1\"> <\/a>After such a big meal, we all shared this dish and \u2018my friend Caroline\u2019, who lives in Belgium and therefore aspires to be a bit of a French cuisine expert said \u201cthe cream and chocolate sauce were perfect.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cL\u2019Entrecote de Paris\u201d will be available in Papa Jacks until &nbsp;the end next week (Sept 3rd), BUT Susana has told us that she
