This Weekend is the Fundaci\u00f3n MIR Family Weekend for Life, a fun, family-oriented event with golf and tennis tournaments for all the family, which will culminate in the \u2018Dancing for Life\u2019 event, a glamourous dinner-dance with a prize-giving ceremony being held at the Beach Club by Le Cirque at Playa Minitas in Casa de Campo Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Dancing for Life\u2019 event will be the finale to the Family Weekend for Life <\/a>\u2013 an opportunity for family and friends of the Casa de Campo resort to gather together enjoy a few drinks, a pleasant dinner, and a little dancing, whilst at the same time giving to a wonderful cause \u2013 the Fundaci\u00f3n MIR, a charity based in La Romana.  As part of the evening there will be an awards ceremony for the competitors of the tennis and golf tournaments, when the winners will receive trophies and prizes. The Master of Ceremonies for this year\u2019s event will be Pamela Sued, the Co-host of the popular TV show \u2018Con Freddy y Punto.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Casino Diamante <\/a>HAMACA from the La Romana \u2013 Bayahibe area, will once again be taking part in the celebration, offering  a variety of casino games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also taking part in the \u2018Dancing for Life\u2019 event is Tiffany & Co. with the famous \u2018Tiffany Wall\u2019 and the mysterious Tiffany\u2019s blue boxes. The Tiffany Wall is always a popular attraction at MIR events with guests being given the chance to purchase a box (USD$300) \u2013 the contents of which are revealed after purchase, so it\u2019s a little like a raffle only much more glamourous and you \u2018win\u2019 a beautiful piece of Tiffany jewelry. The Fundacion MIR<\/a> is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area in the Dominican Republic, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundacion MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR<\/a> (infants school).<\/p>
