Casa de Campo, the World\u2019s Leading Golf Resort (2010)<\/a>, is making preparations to hopefully claim this coveted title for 2011 \u2013 with the completion of a new golf course and driving range, as well as the complete renovation of \u2018The Links\u2019 golf course and the driving range at the Teeth of the Dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Since 2001, Casa de Campo has been successful at the World Travel Awards \u2013 hailed as the \u2018Oscars\u2019 of the travel industry. Among Casa de Campo\u2019s many awards, they have won the \u2018Caribbean\u2019s Leading Golf Resort\u2019 no less than 5 times \u2013 in 2001, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010, as well as claiming the glory of the \u2018World\u2019s Leading Golf Resort\u2019 for the last 4 consecutive years \u2013 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2009 and 2010, Casa de Campo was also the winner of Leading Golf Resort in the DR, Leading Resort in the Caribbean and Leading Resort in the DR. With this year\u2019s awards looming in the next 6 months, Casa de Campo is taking advantage of now to refresh, renew and renovate Casa de Campo\u2019s already impressive golfing facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year in August Casa de Campo will celebrate the opening of it\u2019s 5th Pete Dye designed golf course \u2013 the new \u20189\u2019 (as yet unnamed) near Altos de Chav\u00f3n and the Dye Fore \u2013 this new facility will afford golfers a different golfing experience when playing in Altos de Chav\u00f3n as the new \u20189\u2019 has been designed to join with the Dye Fore and create a different 18 hole course. As part of this course a new Practice Range has also been opened, meaning that as well as 5 golf courses, Casa de Campo now boasts 3 practice ranges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as this, work is already underway to completely renovate the Links<\/a> \u2013 a beautiful inland course with palm tree lined lakes. The Links course closed on Monday May the 9th and is scheduled to remain closed until mid-December whilst it undergoes a renovation, maintenance and improvement plan being overseen by Pete Dye himself. Also under renovation is the Practice Range at the Teeth of the Dog,<\/a> which is planned to last a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With so much going on in Casa de Campo\u2019s world of golf \u2013 Casa de Campo\u2019s bid to take the \u2018World\u2019s Leading Golf Resort\u2019 title for a 5th year running is well underway!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
