Now half way into the project, we can see that real progress is being made, leading us to hope that perhaps the project will finish on time (despite the Dominican \u2018ma\u00f1ana\u2019 culture.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a recent trip out of Casa de Campo (now that doesn\u2019t happen too often), we ventured towards Bayahibe and were astounded by the progress that has been made! The road is completely unrecognisable! The road between Casa de Campo and the \u2018represa\u2019 (where the road crosses the Chav\u00f3n river), has been much improved \u2013 the road surface is smooth and there are even markings and cats-eyes. Also in this area, the beginnings of the 4-lane&nbsp;anti seismic&nbsp;bridge, which will take the highway over the Chav\u00f3n river can be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/el_coral_highway_laromana_casadecampo_puntacana_santodomingo3.jpg?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26386\" title=\"el_coral_highway_laromana_casadecampo_puntacana_santodomingo\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/el_coral_highway_laromana_casadecampo_puntacana_santodomingo3.jpg?resize=565%2C311&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"565\" height=\"311\"><\/a><\/figure><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Coming Soon! The Bridge over the River Chav\u00f3n<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/el_coral_highway_laromana_casadecampo_puntacana_santodomingo3.jpg\"><br>\n<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Even the stretch of road beyond the Chav\u00f3n River is much improved and from the current road, you can see sections of the new highway nearing completion, with several bridges nearly completed; one near the La Estancia Golf Resort and the other which will take the highway over the road which leads to Bayhibe and Domincus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/el_coral_highway_laromana_casadecampo_puntacana_santodomingo4.jpg?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"
