Over <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2011\/02\/sign-up-now-for-the-14th-annual-hogar-del-nino-weekend\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o fundraising weekend <\/a>many exciting events and activities will take place; polo, tennis and golf tournaments, the bike Marathon and of course the dinner-dance party at the La Romana Country Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>The Bike Marathon<\/strong><strong><br>\n<\/strong><strong> When: <\/strong>Saturday the 19th of February, 8:30AM<br>\n<strong>Leaving from: <\/strong>The La Romana Country Club<br>\n<strong>Length: <\/strong>12.37km<br>\n<strong>Cost:<\/strong> USD$25 per person<br>\n<strong>The contest will be divided into the following categories;<\/strong><br>\nPAIR (Adult and child under 10 years), MIXED PAIR (any 2 people), Individual Male, Individual Female<br>\n<strong>BIKE HIRE:<\/strong> If you do not have a bike, bikes may be hired from the Casa de Campo hotel for USD$25 each<br>\n<strong>NOTE:<\/strong> All people taking part must wear a proper bike helmet<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Bike Marathon Route A!<\/span><\/strong><br>\nBelow you can see a map of the route for the bike marathon, the route is a total of 12.37km long and was designed to take about 1 hour to complete.<br>\nAlthough the map is a little difficult to read I have done my best and labelled on well known land marks so that it is a little easier to understand where the route goes.<br>\nAs you can see the route starts at the La Romana Country Club, heads up to Altos de Chavon, then through the Los Altos development and out towards the edge of Casa de Campo (near to the \u00b4Represa\u00b4) before looping back towards the centre of Casa de Campo via the new Pete Dye designed Golf course, along the upper residential area near the La Terraza Tennis Club and then back to the La Romana Country Club.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/hogardelnino_bikemarathon.jpg?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/hogardelnino_bikemarathon.jpg?resize=461%2C386&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25159\" title=\"hogardelnino_bikemarathon\" height=\"386\" width=\"461\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Bike Marathon Route B<br>\n<\/span><\/strong>I know that there is a route B, unfortunately I do not know anything about it \u2013 however if you contact the MTB organisation or the Hogar del Nino (contacts below) I am sure they will be happy to help you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Practices!<br>\n<\/span><\/strong>The Ca\u00f1eros Bike Club are this week holding a number of practices, to get you familiar with the courses and in the bike riding mood!
