There will be drinks for you to enjoy as you peruse and admire the new art exhibit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of the new exhibit is \u2018Aquiles Azar: Volver a Chav\u00f3n\u2019, Aquiles Azar is the name of the artist and \u2018Volver a Chav\u00f3n\u2019 means \u2018return to Chav\u00f3n\u2019 \u2013 so named as this is Aquiles\u2019 first return visit to exhibit in Altos de Chav\u00f3n after more than 3o years! Aquiles, a drawer and a painter first exhibited in Altos de Chav\u00f3n as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/09\/discovering-the-altos-de-chavon-school-of-art-and-design\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Altos de Chav\u00f3n Art and Design School\u2019s Artists in Residence.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The art work of Aquiles Azar has been exhibited and is currently on display in many museums, businesses and private collections around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibit opens this Friday the 21st of January at 7:30pm and will remain open to the public until the 20th of February!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/art_axhibit_altosdechavon1.jpg?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/art_axhibit_altosdechavon1.jpg?resize=565%2C161&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24391\" title=\"art_axhibit_altosdechavon\" height=\"161\" width=\"565\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Aquiles Azar: Volver a Chav\u00f3n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este viernes el 21 de enero, la Fundaci\u00f3n Centro Cultural Altos de Chav\u00f3n, se complace en invitarles&nbsp;a la apertura de su nueva exposici\u00f3n del artista Aquiles Azar, a las 7:30pm en la galeria principal de Altos de Chav\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?u=https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/&amp;sl=en&amp;tl=es&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">[A leer todo nuestro sitio de web en Espa\u00f1ol, haz click aqui.]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aqui esta su nota de prensa sobre el artista Aquiles Azar:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 21 de enero 2011 regresa Aquiles Azar a la Galer\u00eda principal; m\u00e1s de treinta a\u00f1os han transcurrido desde su primera exposici\u00f3n en Altos de Chav\u00f3n, como parte de los participantes del programa Artistas en Residencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dibujante y pintor, estudi\u00f3 en la Academia de Pintura de George Hausforf, posteriormente ingresa a la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes donde se grad\u00faa.  Odont\u00f3logo de profesi\u00f3n, realiz\u00f3 el Doctorado en Filosof\u00eda en la Universidad de Santo Domingo y la especialidad en Odontolog\u00eda por la Universidad Catolica de Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Su primera exposici\u00f3n art\u00edstica se realiz\u00f3 en la Sociedad Odont\u00f3logica Dominicana en 1960.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sus obras se encuentran en museos, empresas y colecciones privadas en diferentes partes del mundo. Ha expuesto en Jap\u00f3n, Londres, Par\u00eds, Barcelona, Madrid, Islas Baleares, Grecia, Bruselas, Ecuador, Venezuela entre otros pa\u00edses.  Su trabajo de Dibujo ha sido premiado varias veces en el Concurso de E. Le\u00f3n Jimenes y en bienales nacionales.  Recibi\u00f3 Menci\u00f3n de Honor en la Bienal Latinoamericana de Grabado en Puerto Rico.  La Fundaci\u00f3n Igneri-Arte\/Arqueolog\u00eda le distingue como Miembro de Honor en 2008.  Fue profesor universitario durante 30 a\u00f1os.
