As we hope you already know, Casa de Campo Living\u2019s \u2018Teatro de La Comunidad \u2013 Buscando el Talento Dominicano\u2019 is taking place on Saturday December the 4th at 7pm <\/strong>AND due to unforeseen circumstances the \u2018Juguemos por Los Ni\u00f1os\u2019  games night event has been moved to the same time! uh oh\u2026..    (En Espa\u00f1ol debajo)<\/strong><\/wp-block><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, we spoke to our friends at the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o and we came up with a POSSIBLE solution<\/strong> \u2013 to move the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o event to Friday December the 3rd.<\/strong> BUT before the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o move their event (again) they have requested that we ask YOU<\/strong>, our community for your opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dilema<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Teatro de La Comunidad<\/a> is an event for the community and by the community, with money being raised for the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o, as well as all the other important and very worthwhile charities in the La Romana area; the Fundaci\u00f3n MIR, the Orfanato Ni\u00f1os de Cristo, and the Altos de Chav\u00f3n Cultural Center Foundation. Naturally to make the event a success we NEED the support of the whole community (thats you!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile the \u2018Juguemos por los Ni\u00f1os\u2019 event is raising money to buy much needed medical supplies for the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As both events are raising money for charity it seems rather silly that they should \u2018compete\u2019 with each other! And so surely the obvious solution is to move the \u2018Juguemos pos los Ni\u00f1os\u2019 to Friday December the 3rd!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question is: Do you agree?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Events<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

1. Teatro de la Comunidad <\/a>\u2013 Buscando el Talento Dominicano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

This fantastic event is a talent show and community theatre in the Altos de Chav\u00f3n amphitheatre! Our talented community members will perform their chosen act in front of an audience of more than 800 people (we hope!) \u2013 we have 15 acts already confirmed; singers and dancers from the Abraham Lincoln School<\/a>, the Fundacion MIR schools, the Gospel Choir of the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o<\/strong>, St John\u2019s school, the Orfanato Ni\u00f1os y Ni\u00f1as de Cristo, the Colegio Biblico and the Colegio Sagrado Corazon as well some talented individual performers!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticket sales are to raise money for ALL the charities involved; <\/strong>the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o as well as the Fundaci\u00f3n MIR, the Orfanato Ni\u00f1os y Ni\u00f1as de Cristo AND the Fundaci\u00f3n Altos de Chav\u00f3n School of Art and Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. \u2018Juguemos por los Ni\u00f1os\u2019 Games Night for the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o at La Estancia

This wonderful event is being organised by the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o along with La Estancia and will be a fun evening with many different card games; poker, black jack, baccarat, bridge and many more! The evening is a great (and fun) way to give to the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o with the opportunity to win some money! How will that work? Well the evening costs USD$100 (dinner included), $50 of this goes straight to the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o to buy essential medical supplies, whilst the other $50 goes into the \u2018pot\u2019 \u2013 and so is potential money for you to win!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within this event the 4th annual Torneo de Poker being co-organised by Casa de Campo residents Ivonna Sosa and Patricia Proa\u00f1o will also be played!
