The event was a glamourous affair with numerous talented Dominican designers – both established and emerging, showcasing their fashion creations, alongside a number of ‘Invited’ International designers, such as Oscar de la Renta, Tatiana Torres and Sonia Chang.\n\nOn Thursday the 21st of October, I was lucky enough to experience the buzz, glamour and excitement of Dominicana Moda 2010 for myself, on a trip organised by the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o<\/a> with a large group of Casa de Campo and La Romana ladies. Our tickets, purchased through the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o<\/a> (and with the money being donated to the Hogar del Ni\u00f1o) were for the fashion shows Jusef Sanchez, Juan Cotes and Jeanette Limas\u00a0\u2013 all of which were spectacular.\n\n(To read and see photos of the trip with the ladies, click here<\/a> \u2013 this account focuses a little more on the actual fashion.)\n
Jusef Sanchez<\/strong>\nThe first show to take to the catwalk was the collection of Jusef Sanchez, who presented a futuristic-inspired collection, with bold metallic details.\n\"\"<\/a>\n\n

Juan Cotes<\/strong>\nJuan Cotes’ collection was feminine and beautiful with some flowing crepe designs and modern, formal evening gowns – sexy and suitable for the average woman.\n\n\"\"<\/a>\n\n[nggallery id=582]<\/blockquote>\n
Jeanette Limas<\/strong>\nJeanette’s collection was creative, fresh, bold and sexy with modern lines and interesting curves.
