\"\"<\/a><\/p>\nAs Casa de Campo’s best (and only) food critics, Susana Joa, owner of Chinois restaurant in the Marina Casa de Campo invited us to Chinois to try a little sneak preview of the for this tonight’s ‘Fiesta de La Luna<\/a>‘ and to sample a few other of Chinois’ best creations! Sometimes I really love this job….\n\nAs the Fiesta de la Luna is tonight, Thursday the 23rd of October<\/a>, Susana, always the perfectionist, insisted we tried some of the dishes from the ‘Menu de la Luna’<\/a> and although we didn’t sample everything, what we tried we LOVED! Everyone’s absolute favourite was the ‘pescado entero’<\/em> or whole fish, which was delicious, cooked perfectly with ginger and lemon grass and despite it being a whole fish was very easy to serve and I didn’t find a single bone! It was yummy!\n\nTwo of the new teachers, from the Abraham Lincoln school, Loz and Dan <\/a>accompanied us on this tasting adventure and both said it was one of the best meals they had had since arriving in the DR, Dan was particularly enamoured by the fish – devouring the head and cheeks with real vigour!\n\nBelow are our photos of the evening, along with a brief description of everything we ate and enjoyed!\n

Whole fish \/ Pescado Entero<\/strong>\n\"\"<\/p>\n

From the ‘Menu de la Luna’<\/a>, the ‘Pesacado Entero’ heaped with vegetables and served with a light soy sauce, an absolutly delicious dish.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Vegetable Spring Rolls<\/strong>\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Spring Rolls, a classic Chinese\u00a0dish is as always delicious in Chinois – the perfect ‘taster’ to begin a great meal! The spring rolls are also included on the ‘Menu de la Luna<\/a>.’<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sushi<\/strong>\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite Sushi being technically a Japenese dish, I feel that Sushi is one of Chinois’ specialities! Every time, I eat there I can’t resist trying one of their many sushi rolls and I am never disappointed – they ara always delicious! (Sushi is not part of the ‘Menu de la Luna’<\/a>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/a>Steamed Dumplings\n\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Another one of Chinois’ specialities – dumplings may not be very photogenic but they do taste good and because they’re steamed they’re somewhat healthy! The ones we tried were shrimp, but I also love the pork dumplings at Chinois. \u00a0(Dumplings is not part of the ‘Menu de la Luna’<\/a>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
