In the Dominican Republic from June 1st through to November the 30th it\u2019s rainy \/ stormy season! For those of us who live here, we know that this means that there will be still plenty of glorious sunshine, but of course there is always the chance of a miserable amount of rain! Casa de Campo Living\u2019s STORMTRACK<\/a> 2010 will keep you informed on all the latest weather conditions, good or bad\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Our STORMTRACK<\/a> 2010 page looks like this:<\/p>\n\n\n

It warns of \u201cdisturbances\u201d which can develop into Tropical Storms or hurricanes or just lots and lots of rain \u2013 at the moment there is a \u2018Medium Potential Disturbance\u2019 which if you click on the \u2018more\u2019 it tells you what exactly this means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to best use the STORMTRACK<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

In the top right hand side of the STORMTRACK<\/a>, there is this:
\n This can be used to display different things on the model:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013  the clouds
\n\u2013  the forecast models
\n\u2013  radar (although I can\u2019t work out what this does, so just ignore it!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance if you want to see where the clouds are click \u2018On\u2019 for the clouds, then the STORMTRACK<\/a> will look like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forecast models are also very useful \u2013 they show you where a \u2018disturbance\u2019 (tropical storm of hurricane) is likely to go, to see the Forecast models, just click \u2018On\u2019 for the forecast models. Then the STORMTRACK<\/a> will look like this: (now we can see that the \u2018disturbance\u2019 is not likely to hit the DR.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
