Later the work on the actual book production continued with a professional photographer from Santo Domingo, Max Pou, and a book publisher, Imprenta El Heraldo, C por A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The food director asked me to take preliminary photos of the food and restaurants to be used as a guide to show the team from Santo Domingo the idea and layout of the book.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/05\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-16185\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Memories-of-Casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook1.jpg?resize=575%2C551&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" class=\"wp-image-16185\" title=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" height=\"551\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Ginger-Shrimp Consomm\u00e9 from Casa del Rio<br>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a lot of fun and very interesting.  Helping to create the cookbook gave me a chance to take photos of all the food and restaurants of Casa de Campo from an insider\u2019s viewpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/05\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-16186\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Memories-of-Casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook2.jpg?resize=575%2C501&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" class=\"wp-image-16186\" title=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" height=\"501\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Black Bean Soup Ingredients from Lago Grill<br>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President\/CEO of Casa de Campo, Claudio Silvestri, wrote a wonderful forward for the book addressed to all the patrons of Casa de Campo, and praising the efforts of the \u201cprofessional food artists\u201d and specialists who contributed to the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breads were freshly baked and piled up in the Amphitheater to find out if they would make an interesting photo.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/05\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook-4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-16187\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Memories-of-Casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook3.jpg?resize=575%2C437&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" class=\"wp-image-16187\" title=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" height=\"437\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Breads of Chavon<br>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the Casa de Campo cookbook chapters was to be dedicated to one of the eight restaurants:  Casa del Rio, Cafe El Patio, La Piazzetta, Lago Grill, Cafe del Sol, Tropicana, El Sombrero, and El Pescador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chefs prepared some dishes and I took photos of them.  The Red Snapper with Roasted Pepper and Basil Mashed Potato from Casa del Rio looked delicious and had a cute name, \u201cChillo Sunshine\u201d and was served with a small sunflower.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/05\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook\/memories-of-casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-16188\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Memories-of-Casa-de-campo-the-casa-de-campo-cookbook4.jpg?resize=575%2C510&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" class=\"wp-image-16188\" title=\"Memories of Casa de campo - the casa de campo cookbook\" height=\"510\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong> Chillo Sunshine from Casa del Rio<br>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dish from El Sombrero was a mixed grill of Fajitas with Peppers and Onions served with Corn Tortillas. They are made from platanos and fried twice.
