We\u2019re obsessed with taking photos and the following are a few of our favorites taken on our travels around and about in Casa de Campo, classic, everyday Casa de Campo scenes \u2013 Casa de Campo at it\u2019s very best!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>View from Altos de Chavon looking down over the beautiful Rio Chavon<\/strong><\/span><br>\nMost of the time in Altos de Chavon we\u2019re too busy drinking or eating in either <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/10\/papajacksdisco-djj\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Papa Jacks<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/12\/casa-de-campo-living-reviews-onnos-bar-now-with-fantastic-seafood\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Onno\u2019s bar<\/a> to take the time to wander up to the cliff edge and peer below \u2013 this photo is a good reason why we should! Beautifully decorated with white Christmas lights, surrounded by stunning yachts, the ambience is unrivaled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/photo-essay-out-and-about-in-casa-de-campo\/dsc08904\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11836\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC08904.jpg?resize=575%2C431&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC08904\" class=\"wp-image-11836\" title=\"DSC08904\" height=\"431\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/los-altos-club-announces-affiliation-with-preferred-residencies\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Altos<\/a> residential development \u2013 a view to Dye Fore! hahahaha<\/span><\/strong><br>\nAlthough this classic <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/09\/vivo-en-casa-a-contemporary-retreat-overlooking-dye-fore\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Altos<\/a> pun is a little overused and a little amusing, it is nevertheless true \u2013 this photo is taken from the balcony of one of the Los Altos apartments.   Beyond the pool the 18th hole of the Dye Fore roles out into the distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/photo-essay-out-and-about-in-casa-de-campo\/dsc00441\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11837\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC00441.jpg?resize=575%2C431&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC00441\" class=\"wp-image-11837\" title=\"DSC00441\" height=\"431\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The teeth of the <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/09\/casa-de-campo%e2%80%99s-teeth-of-the-dog-still-bites%e2%80%a6\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Teeth of the Dog<\/a><\/span><\/strong><br>\nWhen you\u2019re playing golf, or attempting to play golf (our case) or not playing golf (maybe you prefer the beach) this is the view you miss. The Teeth of the Dog is not famous only for being a challenging golf course, but also for it\u2019s stunning views out over the Caribbean sea \u2013 even if you don\u2019t play golf, its worth the time taking a walk along the Teeth of the Dog (just watch out for stray golf balls.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/photo-essay-out-and-about-in-casa-de-campo\/dsc03379\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11834\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC03379.jpg?resize=575%2C431&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC03379\" class=\"wp-image-11834\" title=\"DSC03379\" height=\"431\" width=\"575\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dawn breaks over <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/celebrating-new-years-eve-2009-partying-with-the-sunrise-at-playa-minitas\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Playa Minitas<\/a><\/span><\/strong><br>\nLast year I only saw dawn at Playa Mintas once \u2013 when I took this photo, during the<a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/10\/duenos-09-yoga-on-the-beach\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"> Due\u00f1os \u201909 yoga<\/a> session, at the time I wasn\u2019t thrilled to be dragged out of bed so early, but once on the beach, with the early morning sun silhouetted across the sand and the palm trees, it was well worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">.<span style=\"-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-11838\" href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2010\/01\/photo-essay-out-and-about-in-casa-de-campo\/dsc02998\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11838\" title=\"DSC02998\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/DSC02998.jpg?resize=575%2C431&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC02998\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\"><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Altos de Chavon \u2013 the past and the present<\/span><\/strong><br>\nCafe Rio and Giacosa were once bustling restaurants in Altos de Chavon, which now stand unused (aside from the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/2009\/11\/halloween-casa-del-rio-our-very-best-photos\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Halloween party <\/a> in Cafe Rio). These two pieces of real estate stand majestic overlooking the Rio Chavon \u2013 the potential for a fantastic night club, bar or romantic restaurant is unbelievable.
