With 39 players and a strong contingent of ‘spectators’ otherwise known as ‘drinkers’ it was a classic Casa de Campo night, full of food, drinking,plenty of laughs and for a lucky few ended in the winning of a nice sum of money!\n\nThe evening started with the 39 passionate, determined and excited poker players at 5 tables, which after several hours of tense rounds, with the ‘blind’ being increased every half hour, the 39 players were whittled down to 10 – the last 2 players from each table.\n\nAnd so at around midnight, the ‘final’ began, a battle which was still being fought at 3am. In the end, the\u00a0last two players; Claudia Olavarritea and Maurizio Bellia, made a deal to end the game – Maurizio although not defeated, allowed the first place to be given to Claudia – as she had more chips.\n
At the \u00abwinners\u00bb table there were:<\/strong>\n\nClaudia Olavarritea, who won first place\"poker!!!\"<\/a>\nMaurizio Bellia, who won 2nd place\nLaura Maria Olavarrieta, who won 3rd place\nRosie Bonarelli, who won 4th\nAlejandra Moreno, who won 5th\nIvonna Sosa\nHumberto Proa\u00f1o\nFernando Varela\nPavel Then\nMafalda Formisano<\/blockquote>\nAs I was too sleepy and definitely not a poker winner (or even a player) I left the festivities early, so thank you to Patricia Proa\u00f1o, who provided us with the names of the winners!\n\nBelow are the photos I took before I disappeared, Patricia has also provided us with photos that she took during the evening, which will be published soon!\n\n\n
