Dominican architecture\u2019 &nbsp;was celebrated here in the Dominican Republic, an official day in the Dominican calendar to celebrate this prestigious profession!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The day is celebrated every year on the 3rd of November to commerate the birth of&nbsp;Guillermo Gonz\u00e1lez S\u00e1nchez, &nbsp;considered to be the first modern architect from the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And so, all the members of the Women\u2019s east regional CODIA group would like to congratulate all architects \u2013 Dominican or not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The above photo is of the \u2018Faro Colon\u2019 a magnificent example of modern Dominican architecture, this building is located in the Eastern part of Santo Domingo, on the other
