{"id":317055,"date":"2009-06-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-19T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/the-dewars-12-golf-invitational-tournament\/"},"modified":"2022-11-10T10:40:28","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T14:40:28","slug":"the-dewars-12-golf-invitational-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casadecampoliving.com\/es\/the-dewars-12-golf-invitational-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Dewar’s 12 Golf Invitational Tournament hosted by 12 Playboy Playmates"},"content":{"rendered":"\"golf_top\"\n\nThe Dewars 12 Golf Invitational tournament opened in Casa de Campo with an inauguration party at the Le Cirque Beach Club restaurant on Friday the 12th of June, was followed by an exhilarating day of golf (and a little friendly poker) on Saturday the 13th of June and finished off with a sensational awards ceremony and party that very same evening, in a spectacular villa overlooking the Caribbean Sea.\n\nThe tournament was played on Casa de Campo’s famous Teeth of the Dog golf course, which skirts the\u00a0Caribbean\u00a0and has been ranked number 43 in the world’s best golf courses (judged by Golf Magazine), and was the perfect choice for this prestigious and glamorous event. In fact, the tournament was so exclusive that over 250 golfers requested to play, yet only a select 130 were accepted. Rumor has it that some golfers may have even dropped out of another golf tournament taking place in Punta Cana to attend. Can anyone blame them? We are after all talking about the Dewar’s 12 Golf tournament on the Teeth of the Dog! The fact that hosting the event where 12 of the most beautiful and curvaceous Playboy Playmates may also have had some influence on the matter.\n\nThe main sponsor of the event was Dewars 12, \u00a0one of the world’s best whiskys, famous for its perfectly balanced flavors and aromas, exceptional taste and smooth texture. The extraordinary Dewars 12 mix is so perfect it is described as ‘marrying in oak,’ blended from the best whiskys across Scotland, all aged for at least 12 years. In addition to sponsoring the event, Dewars 12 provided the main prize – nothing less than an all-expenses paid trip to Scotland to play the world famous St. Andrews Links golf course, with a tour of Dewar’s World of Whisky in Aberfeldy, thrown in just for fun! While St. Andrews is no Teeth of the Dog, we’re sure the trip will be thoroughly enjoyed.\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\nWhile the event was clearly a Dewar’s 12 event, a few other top names proudly co-sponsored the activities, including: Mercedes Benz, Callaway, La Aurora cigars and Ritmo Social magazine. While Casa de Campo Living was not an official sponsor, we where still proud to be invited to attend and participate in the festivities, sacrificing ourselves to cover this event for our loyal readers. Beautiful women, superb scotch and wonderful people to share this with – we hope our readers really appreciate all the sacrifices we make!\n\nBack to the tournament! And what a tournament it was! As the players made their way around the golf course, they were not only greeted and teased by the Playboy Playmates, but also had the chance to win extra prizes on certain holes!\n

At hole number 5, Mercedes-Benz were showcasing their new Mercedes-Benz Class E – a prize to any player who achieved a hole in one on that hole.<\/p>\n

On hole number 6, Callaway Golf, world-famous for its quality golf clubs, balls and accessories were giving away its new Big Bertha DIABLO driver to the golfers who hit the ‘longest drive’ and the ‘precision drive.’<\/p>\n

Whilst over on hole number 7, La Aurora cigars had set up a stand, where they were hand-rolling cigars and giving them away to the golfers, as well as awarding a box of La Aurora Preferidos Edicion de Oro (1903) to the lucky golfer who landed closest to the hole!<\/p>\n\n\"club_house\"\n\nFollowing the tournament, golfers were invited to relax in the spectacular ‘Dewars 12 Club House’, which was created specifically for the tournament and was\u00a0located overlooking holes number 1 and 18, and of course with a spectacular view of the sea.\u00a0At the ‘Dewars 12 Club House’ players took part\u00a0in a ‘friendly’ game of poker over a few nibbles and an glass or two of scotch the rocks. As always when combining men, scotch and poker, the atmosphere can get rather tense and sometimes even a little rowdy. We were lucky enough to witness and film (of course) a rather exciting victory – click on the video to see the moment one player won rather a lot of money!
