So the other day&nbsp;we finally headed up to Papa Jacks for a quick bite, which was flavourful and quite nice. Being able to eat overlooking the square, the church and the Chavon river can&nbsp;surprisingly&nbsp;enough still excite us long time residents \u2013 this is the real beauty of lunch at Papa Jacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving-wp.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2009\/03\/papa-jacks-menu.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/papa-jacks-menu-182x300-2.jpg?resize=146%2C240&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"The Menu for The Kitchen at Papa Jacks\" class=\"wp-image-2076\" title=\"papa-jacks-menu\" height=\"240\" width=\"146\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The menu is unique and has a&nbsp;surprising&nbsp;amount, for a restaurant in the Dominican Republic, of non-fried or overly calorie intensive dishes. Hey, its the year 2009 and we still remember our New Year\u2019s resolutions, so lighter fare is always&nbsp;appreciated. Items like the Tropical Salad, the Octopus Salad and a fresh fish of the day are items that we look forward to trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, should you be in the mood for something a little more hearty, the Kitchen at Papa Jacks is sure to please, with a whole section of plates for two (or more), as well as some beefier dishes, like a nice churrasco or burger. Like most places in Chavon, they also offer a lunch special \u2018plato del dia\u2019 which consists of a rice, beans and typically a piece of fish or meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A quick word on the service \u2013 it was good, strike that \u2013 very good. Nothing out of this world, but the waiter was courteous,&nbsp;knowledgeable, profesional and quick; and as we all know, this is always appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you tried the food at the Kitchen at Papa Jacks?
