The poker tournament, which marks the second such tournament, is an event that is put together by fellow residents Patricia Proa\u00f1o Alfredo Alonzo, Ivonna Sosa and Ramon ‘Tato’\u00a0Caceres. To keep things light hearted, a generous portion of the proceeds went to \u00abEl Hogar de Ancianos\u00bb in La Romana.\n\nAnyway, we were 20 players. The game started at 8:45 p.m. at Sangria Bar, taking place in their lounge area, \u00a0and ended just after midnight. \u00a0With US$100.00 buy-in, the play was friendly, but competitive. After over four hours of grueling play, the winners\u00a0emerged. \u00a0\n\nThe winners were:\n

1st place – Leito Proa\u00f1o<\/li>\n\t
2nd Place – Leopoldo Proa\u00f1o<\/li>\n\t
3rd place – Claudio Espinal<\/li>\n\t
4th place – Alan Wood<\/li>\n\t
5th place Sergio Llach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFor those who where not into poker, or potentially loosing their shirt, there was also a Rummy Hand table for the none poker players, whom came out with their shirts still on their backs and smiles on their faces. Last Saturday card sharks from around Casa de Campo converged on Altos de Chavon’s newest local hangout, Sangria, for a little gaming and gambling. The poker tournament, which marks the second such tournament, is an event that is put together by fellow residents Patricia Proa\u00f1o Alfredo Alonzo, Ivonna Sosa and Ramon ‘Tato’\u00a0Caceres. To keep things light hearted, a generous portion of the proceeds went to \u00abEl Hogar de Ancianos\u00bb in La Romana.\n\nAnyway, we were 20 players. The game started at 8:45 p.m. at Sangria Bar, taking place in their lounge area, \u00a0and ended just after midnight. \u00a0With US$100.00 buy-in, the play was friendly, but competitive.
