So being able to access the internet on the go is more and more important every day.&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>Today we want to talk about other options available to you.&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/casadecampoliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/logoclaro.large_-1.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.claro.com.do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claro<\/a>&nbsp;offers its customers their mobile broadband access, refered to as <a href=\"http:\/\/claro.com.do\/bandaancha\/default.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Banda Ancha de Claro<\/a>, on their EVDO 3G network. This service which we have been using for a few days now not only gives you broadband access anywhere* but also lends itself as an alternative to Codetel\/Costasur\u2019s DSL internet services for your home.&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>Approximately RD$1,500 monthly gives you unlimited** data access at speeds of up to 3.5 Mbps*** depending on signal and network availability.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.viva.com.do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Viva<\/a>, formerly Centennial, also offers a similar service which they call Interjet de Viva.This service is approximately RD$1,600\/month. Unfortunately their coverage does not reach Casa de Campo according to their service department but it can still be used in other areas of the country.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a few weeks, as our trial period continues we will bring you a more detailed review.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size:x-small;\">*anywhere within their coverage network. Make sure to ask a service rep if your primary usage area is covered<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size:x-small;\">**They also have other limited plans.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size:x-small;\">***According to this <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.claroempresas.com.do\/bandaancha.aspx?id=2720\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size:x-small;\">website<\/span><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size:x-small;\">, after you exceed 3GB of traffic within a billing period the max speed drops to 128 kbps. We have to say that we have yet to experience a drop in service and have downloaded several updates and programs. Also, this speed depends on network coverage, signal and other factors.
