And needless to say since that time, we see it at its best each year on any of the three polo fields. Each season we see a parade of world class players from Latin America, Europe and the US that come to Casa de Campo to play polo in the winter and enjoy tournament play from February through April.<p><\/p>\n<p>This November\u2019s event will be <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">the first polo tournament for women played in the Dominican Republic <\/span>and it will be an international qualifying tournament, too \u2013 attracting some of the sports top female competitors. All players will be rated since the match will serve as a World Class Tour qualifying event.<\/p>\n<p>Tania Evans, the organizer qualifies the sport as \u201cVery intense, which is what makes the sport so attractive to both men and women. You have to have strong arms, legs, back muscles.  You need to ride a few years before you can safely play.  It\u2019s an exhilarating sport and great to watch, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For all of us spectators and horse lovers, matches will be played in the afternoons until dusk, and we all know the great time everyone has at the main tent and bleachers.
