La Tienda is a concept store with beautiful handmade pieces. They aren’t your regular gift-shop — all merchandise is designed by artists, and the store carries the mission to “showcase the experience of the artist’s lifestyle”. They’ve launched a new line, Kudalaut, designed by surf champion and fashion designer, Ruth Parra, and on Monday, February 27th will host a meet-and-greet with the designer throughout the day.
Ruth Parra was born in Venezuela, and has been surfing for over 15 years now. She has won several competitions and also loves to skate, practice yoga, and dance with fire (see the below video!). She’s incredibly talented and sells a beautiful beachwear line that follows her lifestyle. The line can be found for a limited time only at La Tienda in Altos de Chavón.
Monday is the perfect opportunity to learn more about Ruth and her collection. She also brings with her husband and surfer, Keven Gonzalez, and Luz Marie Grande, who is currently the bodyboarding international champion and # 8 in the world-ranking. Join La Tienda (located directly below Café Marietta) in the celebration of Dominican independence day, and welcoming these honored guests and a cool, new clothing line, Kudalaut!
