Every year, the Fundación MIR hosts the Retiro Carismático, which in English translates to ‘charismatic retreat,’ but would be more accurately translated as a spiritual retreat. The aim of this retreat is to open the hearts of the people, embrace religion and impart and share biblical knowledge. This is the 27th year of the annual event which has been a tradition in Casa de Campo since 1990. This year, it will be slightly different and instead of being 3 days, it will be only one. It will take place on Saturday, September 30th starting at 9 a.m. at the Politecnico Fundación MIR, located on the Km #2 of the La Romana-Higueral highway.
The retreat is organized by Lian Fanjul de Azqueta and Lyanne Azqueta, President and Founder and Executive Director of the Fundación MIR, respectively. The theme is “Adelante en Santa Audacia,” which translates to “Moving with Holy Audacity.” The retreat is open to everyone; children, teenagers and adults, and is of course, free!
This year, they will have the participation of Mons. Ramon E. Albino Guzman of the Diocese of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; Mr. Miguel Calzado y los Señores Felipe de la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Medalla Milagrosa in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; the Ministerio de Música Caná and members of the Comunidad Siervos de Cristo coming from Santo Domingo who are devoted to teaching the word of God. The following is the complete schedule of the event, and for more information, you can contact the Fundación MIR offices at 809-523-8270.
