teeth of the dog horse

UPDATE: It would seem that I made a little mistake….. whilst “Teeth of the Dog” did run in a race on Saturday April the 7th, the race was not the actual “Kentucky Derby” but rather a qualifier for the Kentucky Derby! But the good news is that “Teeth of the Dog” came in 3rd place and so will be running in the actual “Kentucky Derby”!

Today, April 7th 2012, a horse named after Casa de Campo’s most famous golf course the “Teeth of the Dog” will be running in the Kentucky Derby  Wood Memorial Race!

“Teeth of the Dog” is co-owned by Dominican Minister of foreign affairs and Casa de Campo villa owner, Carlos Morales Troncoso with fellow Casa de Campo villa owner Jose Singer. In fact the home of Jose overlooks the beautiful oceanfront #18 hole of the “Teeth of the Dog” – a view that perhaps inspired the name.

Waving Dominican flags in support of the “Teeth of the Dog” a Dominican delegation, including her Dominican owners will be in attendance at the Aquaduct racetrack where the 88th running of the famous Kentucky Derby Wood Memorial Race will take place.

The Kentucky Derby Wood Memorial Race

Tune in to watch “Teeth of the Dog” in the Kentucky Derby Wood Memorial Race at 5pm (Dominican time) on NBC, channel 131.
