Bravo! FRESH FRESH Café Chavón was officially opened last night (Monday February 23rd) in Altos de Chavón and it felt like the entire Casa de Campo community turned out to celebrate!
As I’m sure many of you already know, FRESH FRESH was I suppose unofficially opened a few weeks ago, and those of us in Altos de Chavón have been loving it on an almost daily basis… but last night FRESH FRESH was finally ready to declare to the world “we’re ready, we’re open and we’re FRESH FRESH”.
A joint venture between Gian Lahoz and Xioma Menéndez, FRESH FRESH is exactly what the name suggests – a place where you can get FRESH food (and drinks) – but it’s more than that, for Altos de Chavón FRESH FRESH is quiet literally a breath of fresh air. It’s a place where you can relax and be casual… Last night for example a group of slightly sweaty cyclists came to the opening, and that was OK, a few dogs came too, and you know what? No-one batted an eyelid. In fact we greeted our slightly sweaty friends and their excited doggies with just as much enthusiasm as those who had, or had not dressed up, because that’s just the vibe that FRESH FRESH has.
So what can you expect at FRESH FRESH?
Well in addition to somewhere you can relax and be yourself (with or without make-up and high heels), FRESH FRESH is a smoothie bar / café. Undoubtedly their most popular menu items are the smoothies (starting from just RD$100 each how can you resist having one every day!?), but now that they’re fully open they also have breakfast, lunch and (early) dinner. There’s eggs, burgers, wraps, bowls, salads and lots of yummy things like that. They’re also planning regular live music jamming sessions, health food talks and more – as soon as they have a program we’ll let you know. And so as is the motto of FRESH FRESH, remember… “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
